Q: Getting print error message: Stopped. Unsupported Color Space -1 with Epson R260 printer.Fix?

I have an Epson Stylus Photo R260 printer. When printing from Pages, I see and error message: Stopped. Unsupported Color Space.  I'm printing a black and white text document, no photos involved. The printer worked great on my Windows PC.

I installed, removed, reinstalled and reset as well as any other thing I can think of to get this printer installed on my Mac Book Pro running 10.9.X as detected from Epson's driver page. Trying Software Updates from Apple's drop down menu tells me there are no updates to Epson's drivers for this Mavericks operated product.

Any ideas?
