iPad 3 "not charging" no USB/adapter issues.

My ipad is "not charging". There is no issue with the charger because it successfully charges other iPhones, iPads, and iPods. This is urgent because I use my ipad for school purposes and it stopped charging at 2% (I currently have it plugged in).

I think it might either be a battery or ipad problem. HELP PLEASE!

iOS 7.1

There are a few things that can cause charging problems on an iOS device. While it seems you have tried some of these take another look. First make sure you are using the charger that came with the iPad and have that plugged into a known good wall outlet.

1. No power to the outlet.

2. Bad cable. Try a different cable.

3. Bad charger. Try a different charger.

4. Dirt, lint, or fuzz in the connection ports. Check and carefully clean with a toothpick.

5. Software problem. First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

6. Hardware failure. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.
