y battery has an x symbol and says no batteries available

hi there i have been having a lot of truble recently with my 2011 macbook pro 13 inch. I was wondering if there was anyway to solve it. I happen to have the x sumbol on my battery when i turn on my computer. I also have another question if my computer has things to connected to it via bluetooth, if i end up resetting the computer would the connecion be lost or would it still function. I have looked up my battery infromation on this. Even though my charger is plugged into it the light on the charger wont go on and the system report says that there is no charge.
