Can I connect to my iTunes library via airplay if the computer is connected via LAN rather than wifi

Hi there

I am wanting to connect my iPhone to my iTunes library via airplay. However, my PC is connected to the network via LAN rather than wifi. Does this mean that airplay isn't available for this library?

iPhone 5, iOS 7.1
