Apr 6, 2014 10:57 PM in response to mbvideoby babowa,So you ordered the Mac and it hasn't arrived yet?
If so, then it will have the latest Mavericks version installed, which at the moment is 10.9.2. Once 10.9.1 was released, 10.9 was no longer available. You can't download it and, unless your Mac came with it originally, Macs are unable to boot with a version older than what they came with.

Apr 7, 2014 7:49 AM in response to mbvideoby babowa,Unfortunately, then you must find an older Mac. You would also have to talk to Apple regarding the specific build number. If you will look at this list:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1159
you will note that the late 2013 iMac originally came with 10.8.4, then 10.9, and now 10.9.2. You would need one with an earlier build as it could then boot from the earlier OS.
When I purchased my iMac from their refurbished store, they had Lion installed, but the original OS was Snow leopard; after checking, I was told that it could boot from the earlier OS and the install disks were included.
But, you need to do this before buying it.

Apr 7, 2014 12:33 PM in response to mbvideoby MlchaelLAX,According to Wikipedia:
On July 23, 2009, Final Cut Pro 7/Final Cut Studio 3 (not officially designated as such by Apple but adopted by most users to describe the 2009 changes) was released, but it was not yet a 64-bit application.
According to roaringapps.com, FCP 7 will work in Mavericks:

If the upgrade to 10.9.2 is "breaking" FCP 7, you can install Parallels and inside Parallels install either Snow Leopard Server, Lion or Mt. Lion and work with FCP 7 there.
I have heard reports that there is a "bug" in FCP 7 that prevents its installation in Lion, Mt. Lion and Mavericks. If you encounter that problem, either install it in Snow Leopard Server (which does not suffer from that installation bug; and is available from the Apple Store for $20 - 1.800.MYAPPLE (1.800.692.7753) - Apple Part Number: MC588Z/A; telephone orders only) or try using Pacifist to install it in Lion or Mt. Lion.

Apr 13, 2014 10:36 PM in response to MlchaelLAXby mbvideo, yes FCP 7 is running 10.9.2
I just do all the tests on a new iMac 27''
actually my problem is that Black magic drivers cause problem.
The manufacturer does not edit un new compatible driver and everything works as in 10.9.1, it's why I want install this version for my mac pro is happening this week.
My idea is to partition the flash memory and use 10.9.1 for FCP7 and 10.9.2 with the following for the rest of my work.
