System Preferences>Accounts (possibly called Users & Groups)>Login Items.
Also you could try this: System Preferences>Startup Disk - select Macintosh HD and click on restart. Sometimes the OS can lose its way when trying to find a startup disk causing slow boot-ups, and this re-establishes the link.
