Why is there no such thing as searching for a word on a web page on your iPhone?

Why is it that you can use this function on your Mac by using command + F, but not on your phone/ iPad where you need it most?

iPhone 5c, iOS 7.1

You can search for a word on a web page by touching the URL field and typing the word. You will be given a list of "hits". At the end of the list is "On This Page".

Touch the word shown as a hit on the page and you will be directed to the first occurrence of that word and there is a control to step through all the occurrences.
