I use Mavericks OS 10.9.2. Whenever I drag and drop picture files (jpg) from one folder to another folder I get a lot of screen freezes. Why?
It would help to give us more information. Etresoft: EtreCheck is a free app developed by one of the contributors to this forum which will generate a system report on your computer. If you can paste the report here we can take a look and see what might be the problem.

It would help if in the future you followed the instructions for Etrecheck & just copied & pasted the results into a reply instead of taking screen shots.
To do that, click the "Copy report to clipboard" button at the bottom of the Etrecheck report window. That copies the text to the clipboard, so when you start a new reply, all you have to do is paste (using the standard keyboard shortcut Cmd + V) the text into the reply window.
The problem with screen shots (aside from being harder to read) is that the "3rd-Party support links" are not clickable, making it harder to research those items.
