When connected with proper 3-prong cord the L-shaped MagSafe adapter frequently shows a red LED light. What does this mean? I recently had to replace it with new one but still same issue.
Do you mean the orange color it shows while charging? It turns green when the Mac is fully charged.

Thanks. I've had this question for years but lately it was orange 24/7 and then the MagSafe just stopped charging and went to zero. I've had to replace it and was concerned to see the orange light so frequently again. I'm relieved.
It does turn green eventually, right? At some point it won't and the battery will need replacement.
Yes, it does on this replacement one. The previous one just dwindledaway and died. I've purchased a 2-year Square Trade warranty for the MagSafe on this one as my MBP is now off-warranty so fingers crossed.
I don't see where anyone is giving an answer to this question: why does the Magsafe led glow red? It's not amber, and red is not a color used for anything other than a warning or even danger, so what does this mean?
