I bought extra storage on Icloud but im not sure how to store movies there. icloud wants to keep downloading it to my device whitch is almost full. can i store information from my ipad on icloud to free up storage on my ipad ?

You don't store movies there at all.

There was no need to purchase any storage if this is what you were trying to accomlish.

Icloud is a service that, among other things, allow you to redownload some itunes purchases in some countries.

You should not rely on this as storage for your content as there is no guarantee that it will be availble for redownload in the future. You should store everything on your computer and you should always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
