Apr 8, 2014 4:18 PM in response to Alan Parkby vazandrew,Cutting out would be likely due to a connection/network issue. If on wifi try ethernet. Make sure router is up to date and reboot both ATV and router.
To get a report of the network go to istumbler (Mac) or netstumbler (PC), look for signal strength and noise.

Dec 5, 2014 6:12 PM in response to Alan Parkby Pat Matzke,I have been experiencing this for quite some time. I tried several things related to my network settings, to no avail.
Two two nights ago I went through my phone settings and turned BACKGROUND APP REFRESH off. I haven't experienced the problem again since changing that setting. It makes sense that an APP running in the background could cause a problem of this nature.

Dec 5, 2014 6:26 PM in response to Pat Matzkeby Ochieba,I had a similar problem and resolved it by adding a remote access point to my wifi network. The bandwidth between the ATV and MacBook / iPad was to poor to support continuous streaming. Try running speed test (http://www.speedtest.net ) to see what your results are at various points in your wifi coverage area. Also try to setup the ATV very close to your router to see if the problem disappears. Also, if you have a dual band router try connecting all devices to the 5 GHZ band. Using the "WiFi Explorer" app, version 1.5.2 or better, you can see how much network traffic is on the 2.4GHZ and 5GHZ bands.
