I need to have iOS 7.0 for my IPOD Touch 16GB. I want to get the MLB At bat APP. However I dont know how to upgrade it the 7.0. I go to settings,general,software update. It reads iOS 6.1.6 Your software is up to date. Help is needed. Thanks.

A fourth generation iPod touch can't be updated to iOS 7 or above.

If you are getting the "Software is up to date" message it means that your device is at the maximum level of iOS that it can go to. Sounds like you have an iPod Touch 4th Gen. 6.1.6 is the highest iOS that it can run.

You have a 4G since the 4G is the only iPod that has 6.1.6.
You are out of luck unless you purchase a 5G iPod touch.
