Q: my new brother printer MFC9560CDW with an disk for MAC OS X 10.4.11, 0.5.x. 10.6.xto install the printer to use it wireless but it is not working
Hi there,
I got a Brother MFC9560CDW color laser all in one to work from home using two different computers: Dell/Allien and my MacBook Pro vesrion 10.9.2. However the disk that came with the printer is only for MAC 10.4.11, 10.5.x, 10.6.x
This is what I did to get the printer to run with my MAC:
1. I went to Brother web site to download the version I need to make them work together but I get I message that i have to get to download it directly from app store
2. I went to App Store but there was no software available as it had on Brother's site to connect the printer and my Mac via wireless
3. I call Brother for another reason and while a tech guy was here I asked if he could helped fix this isssue. He did the same thing I did with no success.
4. I called verizon fios - the cable company I use, and they checked my routher for to see if my router had: a) a MAC ADDRESS FILTER - yes it has but it was setup was enable, b) what is the incription of my router - they say it had NONE, c) is my router DHCP capable - the answer was YES.
5. Also all of my iphones and ipads that my daughter and I have can only use the printer after we downloaded an app but this app does not work on my MacBook Pro... I am disappointed and do not know how to fix this issue
So, now I have this great printer that I really want to use through wireless but only work from my computer if I use a USB cable. My Dell/Allien computer works fine.
Can someone help me out with this isue?
Thank you in Advance
Anik
