Iphoto books too dark

Anybody having a problem with their iPhoto books coming out too dark? I have never had this problem before have been making books for 8 years. I just went on safari and made 4 photo books couldn't wait to see them. The first 1came back pictures were so dark it was ridiculous. We called, they looked at pictures on the screen, agreed, and sent a new one out immediately. No charge. The second original book came back also too dark. We waited for the first book to come back to make sure they corrected it properly. To our amazement.....still dark. These are all incredible pictures of animals and scenery in Africa. We have never had a problem like this before from Apple. Called them. Once again they agreed with us... They see our pictures on the computer, and agreed the pictures do not match what is in the book. The back and white zebra the white looks beige.... They told us to send back all three books the 2 original and the 1that was supposed to be the replacement and someone would help. After that we got back the 3rd. Each book was from a different part of Africa that we visited. Another disaster. My husband called back... Got a lovely guy on the phone, who understood the problem and was going to transfer us to a "specialist"..... No help and was not even nice..... Actually nasty!

Finally my husband sent an e-mail to Tim Cook. We got a response pretty quickly from his "person".....Her response? We should go to each picture and change the settings on each picture to brighten it......Each book has almost 100 pages in it with multiple pictures on each page! Curious if anyone else has had a problem, and what you have done. This to me sounds ridiculous....

Thanks for any help....
