ipod 5th gen logic board problem

I have found evidence of a logic board problem with ipod 5th gen units on the internet. A problem that Apple does not acknowledge. Just after one year of careful, limited use and 2 weeks after the end of the warranty I charged my ipod and the problems started. The unit's screen has a soft glow with no icons. The ipod still functions, however, the buttons still work and I can hear the camera clicking and I can use voice command to play selections. I have been to the Genius Bar and Apple refuses to do anything about this iexisting problem even after he admitted that the ipod looks to be in perfect conditon. Does anyone else have any more info on this problem?

I went to Apple and the "Genius" told me that I was pretty much screwed by them. The internet has evidence that the logic board of these units has a problem. He would not acknowledge this and admittted that my ipod was in excellent condition. I rearely used this device in the year I had it. He also could not tell me what made the ipod malfunction. Why not? If the ipod was bad why couldn't he tell me what happened to it so if I did fix it it would not happen again. He went on to tell me that it was $150 to fix it. Why would I spend another $150 to fix something that cost me $350 which would mean this ipod cost $500. A lot of money to spend on a unit that did not show me any reason to have confidence in it.

So your answer is NO! **** NO! as I was told. Just another big company in America manking millions and screwing the consumer like a lot of them do these days.
