how do I copy formatting in pages '13?

As I'm writting a paper using Pages '13 I was wondering what is a quick way to copy the formating of a prevous paragraph and apply that formating to a new paragraph?

Ed,

As you compose, the paragraph style propagates to the new paragraph below. Only when you go back and make changes do you need to take extra effort to extend the style to other paragraphs. Define a Style and then Apply it.

The fastest is to delete the return between then hit return again.

Copy Style is command option c

Paste Style is command option v

Both are under the Format menu if you are looking, where you would expect them.

Best practice is to use named Styles and apply those for consistency, speed and editability.
