Q: how to use a usb microphone in logic

I have plugged an audio microphone into my mac using a usb to xlr cable and am trying to record from it. However, I get no audio out of this microphone. Please give me some advice on how to make it work.

I discovered that this is a 'condenser' microphone. I have a dynamic mic that works fine, but wanted additional microphones. Is there a way to use a condenser mic on macs?

The problem is just that condenser mics require "phantom power," which requires some kind of audio interface, pre-amp, or mixer.
