How do I purchase a song with my credit card even though I have an Apple ID balance?
I have a balance in iTunes but need to make a purchase on my credit card, is this possible?

Your balance will automatically be used when purchasing content, you can't change how purchases are billed.
You could try gifting the song to yourself, gifting can only be done via a credit card, you can't use your account's balance for it - I haven't tried it, but I think that you should be able to gift content to yourself.
