In-app purchase cannot connect to iTunes Store

All of a sudden I cannot make any in-app purchases on my iPhone or iPad. The strange thing is that they are connected to separate id's, but having the same issue at the same time. The message I am receiving is 'cannot connect to iTunes store' I

Does anyone know why this would happen and how I can fix it?
