When I am searching in Safari on the top bar of the window, it used to go to google now it goes to yahoo, I need this to change. Any help is greatly appreciated!

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the General tab.
Reset your default browser from there.
If that does not help, you may have inadvertenty installed malware that automatically sets the default browser to Yahoo.
