Note if you have Mac OS X 10.3 or earlier, iTunes 11.1 is not compatible. But since you have a MacBook, you should be able to get it if you have Mac OS X 10.6.8 or later. You posted in the 10.3 or earlier forum, hence my note. I've requested the thread be moved. The Mac App Store is only available on 10.6.6. or later.
