This photo stream is no longer shared

I recently enabled shared photo stream in my icloud and photos setting using iPhone 5c with ios 7.1 installed. I was able to create shared stream but when I emailed an invitation to my other email address, it says this photo stream is no longer shared.

Can somebody explain why is this happening? I haven't deleted the shared stream in photos in my iphone.

Another thing, does this shared photo stream feature only works for those people using ios devices or mac? Those people you shared the stream must have ios devices too? I have no idea on how the recipient can view the shared photo stream. Is it just like Dropbox where you shared the link, he or she can view it in any web browser?

Your replies are highly appreciated.

I badly want to utilise every feature of the iphone so I want to solve this issue I am experiencing.

Yes.

Others not using iPhoto on a Mac or using a different phone can view teh shared stream at the iCloud address given when you add people to the shared stream.

So anyone that has the invite can view it? Whether or not they have ios devices.

But why is it, when I tested sending an invite to myself, it gave me the error that the photo stream is no longer shared ? I can still see it in shared streams in my phone

I just turned on the public website and just copied the link and will send the link to my friend that I invited to the private shared stream so she can view it.

I cannot make the private sharing to work

Yes. Make sure to turn on Public website on the Shared stream. Select the stream and tap Edit at the bottom.

Private Sharing only works for iOS/Mac users when viewing the Shared stream in iPhoto on the Mac or Photos app on iOS. or with PC users and the iCloud control panel

If you do not have the Public website enabled, the link will not work.

Okay. You said it only works for ios devices. I am using my iphone and invited myself to view the shared stream but bit said it is no longer shared. What am I missing here? When am I not been able to view the shared stream that I sent to myself?

You already have the Shared Stream on your iPhone. You created it to share.

You can' re-add it & have the same shared stream twice.

Now it makes sense

But my question now is the other device cannot see the ones I shared. I have received a notification that the other ios device is now subscribed to my photo stream. I cannot see the photos

My shared plot stream is now showing in her photo stream. The other ios device is under ios 6.1.1 which is an iPhone 3GS
