Calendar disappeared from iPhone

Woke this morning to find the calendar where I keep all my important appointments had disappeared overnight on my iPhone. Since my iPad and iPhone calendars would never completely sync up, I have no way to replicate or re-enter appointments back into my iPhone. Since tracking down all the appointments I have scheduled would require a ton of phone calls, I was wondering if anyone had a solution or experienced a similar problem. Why in the heck is the calendar in question still present but incomplete on my iPad but now non-existent on my iPhone?!?!?! Arggghhhh

Just as "calendar", I can't get into it to see if the three subset calendars are there. When I look on my iPad it lists all 3 but is incomplete, on my phone only two exist under icloud and unfortunately the one that is missing is the important one. I recognize I'm pretty ignorant about how to go about this so be gentle haha! Thanks for being willing to help.

Ok. Add the Yahoo account to your phone and enable calendar syncing to see the Yahoo calendar events on your phone too.

iCloud will not sync calendars from external services such as Yahoo, Google, Exchange, etc. so you won't see those events on icloud.com. iCloud only syncs events added to your iCloud calendar(s). To ensure that new events added to your iOS devices are added to your iCloud calendar by default, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar (in the Calendars section) and select an iCloud calendar. Then add a test event on your device and confirm that it appears on icloud.com now. If it does, you iCloud calendar is syncing properly.

If you don't see the missing events on your calendar on icloud.com then, unfortunately, they are no longer in iCloud. Without another backup source there would be no way to recover them.

Of course, if they went missing without you doing anything at all it's possible they will reappear if you give it some time, indicating it was just a server glitch at Apple's end.
