Q: itunes won't open on my macbook pro

I have a macbook pro version 10.6.8 and itunes version 11.0.3.  Last week everything was fine, this week iTunes won't open.  There is no message, it just won't open.

    Hello Beccasim1,

It sounds like you're clicking on the iTunes icon in your dock, but no window is opening. I would start by checking to see if perhaps any 3rd party plug ins are interfering with the launch by starting iTunes in Safe Mode. This article will help with that:

If no window opens when you try this method, I would next see if you get a window in Exposé after you click iTunes:

To show windows by application, press F10; Exposé highlights one application's open window(s) while dimming everything behind it. To toggle through other application windows, press the Tab key. Click a window to select it, or press F10 to return everything back as it was.

    All the very best,
