My mac has just been updated from OS X Mountain lion to Mavricks and the cropping tool on Preview is no longer available. How do I get it back? It is the fastest, most conveinent, most used tool for me....

This article doesn't help with this problem. I just want to crop images with preview as I always have and now with Maveriks, it won't allow that to happen.

Hi vindeljay, do you see cross-hairs + when you mouse over the pic in question?

When you do just click & hold then drag this will give you the dotted outline.

To which you can now apply crop via Preview>Tool>Crop or ⌘K.
