How do I erase start iminent spyware?

Having updated my Mac with OS X Maveric I have realized that when I open google chrome it opens as "Start imminent" and I have no idea how to erase that from the computer. I believe it is spyware so I would be very grateful if someone could tell me how to get rid of it....Thank you in advance for any help!!!!

😀 I have given it a try and although it doesn´t show in the first bit abouth Extensions (iminent is not there and I promise I have looked in the right place 😕) I have been able to do the second bit about Settings. I have restarted Google Chrome and it does not show anymore. I hope this makes it go completely!!! Thank you very much!!!! 🙂
