my IPONE didnt switch on a half day after whole night charging,but I bought it 11 days ago!is it ok?!

My 11-days old Iphone5s today refused my switch on button.I couldnt switch it a half daY!IS IT OK?!

iPhone 5s, iOS 7

reset hold home button and sleep button till apple appears and release

The reset is always a first choice when something misbehaves on an iOS device. Is it normal for an iOS device to misbehave? Not normal but it does happen occasionally.
