no notification sounds after the ios7 upgrade on my iphone 5
I no longer get any notification sounds when i get a text message. Anybody have any ideas on howto fix this ?

Thank you for the question. It sounds like there is no sound with an incoming text message. Have you checked to see if Do Not Disturb was accidentally enabled? You will see a "moon" icon in the status bar if it is enabled.
You can disable Do Not Disturb in Settings > Do Not Disturb or in the Control Center as described in the following articles:

Additionally, you may want to verify the Ring/Silent switch is set to ring mode:
