Wifi hardware keeps dropping?

Hello everyone—

As of yesterday, I've been having trouble with the internet on my mid 2010 15" macbook pro. My wifi signal keeps cutting out. The menu bar icon will remain lit up with full bars, but if I click on it to search for signals, no signals will be there. Trying to turn it on and off in network preferences doesn't work—it just stays on and non-functional. If I restart my computer, it starts to work again, but only for a little. It's lasted 10 minutes, it's lasted 6 hours, but it seems to keep failing again.

One time during a restart, it said that there was no wifi hardware installed. I did a SMC reset and I haven't had that problem again, but it does keep dropping still.

Any help would be much appreciated.

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2010), OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)
