You've probably resolved this long ago, but in case this information is useful to any other Mac users, note that Canon's driver for PIXMA model iP7250, is the one used by the machines sold as iP7200 (series) in the UK. It would be helpful if Canon made this clear on their website, where all reference to iP7200 seems to be missing from the lists on their Support pages, but they do provide both the correct driver and the manual as a PDF (they confirm that iP7250 is the one).
Note that separate driver installations and procedures are needed, respectively, for USB and Wireless connection. Once both are installed, you can switch between them in the normal way.
Another issue I have found, in printing from PDFs to the Pixma iP7200 (7250), is that, if you use either Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat Pro (recent versions, but in my case OS 10.6.8 or 10.7.5), the print dialogue box offers no controls over media type or print quality, and I have had poor quality results. Discussion with Canon doesn't quite explain whether the problem is with Adobe, Canon or both, and it is surprising that Adobe PDF software can't be used effectively, with the same level of control that has been available with other inkjet printers via PDF for 15 years past. My solution is not to use the Adobe software - full controls and good results are available if you print the PDF using Mac Preview. The only annoying thing if you want to print at 100% scale is that you have to disable 'Auto rotate' and the shrink-to-fit default each time you print. For some reason it can't be overridden by a custom print preset.
My other problem with this machine has evidently been due to poor wireless signal in the location where I had it. Putting the printer and Mac both enar the router solved that.
