how to show hard drive icon on my desktop on iOS x
I'm using macbook pro and have iOS x. I want to have my hard drive icon appear on my desktop. Currently, it is not showing up. I would appreciate for an how to instruction.

Usually if you have Finder preferences set to Show (these items) Hard Drives,
on the Desktop, the icon of the computer's internal hard disk drive will appear
on the desktop in Finder as one of the options shown.
Click on Finder in main menu bar to see dropdown list; choose Preferences.
(in your OS X version, this may look different)
If you can't locate Finder menu that way, with other windows open, you can
click on the Finder (face icon) in the Dock, then the main menu will be Finder.
The current Mac OS X Mavericks is version 10.9.2.
The iOS does not run on these; only on iDevices.
