Fonts installed in Font Book 198.4 aren't showing up in Word after reboot. How do I get the fonts to work?

For a graphic design job I have, I installed several new fonts -- Prakrta, Ananda Namaste, and Samarkan. Once I unzipped the files, I double-clicked on each item (eg, Ananda Namaste.ttf) and launched the Font Book 198.4 window. The window displayed the font and asked if I wanted to install it. I clicked Install. I followed this procedure for all of these fonts. I then rebooted the computer, launched Microsoft Word... and the fonts do not appear in the font list in the pull-down menu. I opened Font Book, and the fonts are in there. I have no idea why the fonts are not showing up... help?
