What type of laptop is it? Mac or PC? What OS?

The thing is it starts of saying extracting data then a couple of minutes later say's can not restore, can not find device. . . !!

Apr 9, 2014 9:50 AM in response to Paddyb123by Phil0124,Have you tried a different USB port? Is your laptop set to turn off ports to conserve power? It may be taking too long to extract and the iPad turns off the USB port. Make sure this is not happening.
If it Appears in itunes after you plug it in, but disspaears during restore that could be the issue.
