Watch 3D on projector through iMac

Can I somehow watch 3D movies on my 3D projector (Benq W1300) thorugh my iMac (late 2013)? I haven't been able to so far.

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

I recently bought this projector Benq W1300 which has 3D. I have connected it to my iMac via HDMI so I can use it as a screen to watch movies. That works fine, but I can't get the 3D to work. I'm thinking that I must somehow tell the iMac to send out 3D, like choose output somewhere. Or that the iMac isn't strong enough for it. Or perhaps that I've missed something. I'm basicaly not in the mood to buy another thing like a blu-ray player just to watch 3D so I was hoping there was something I could do.

The Mac has no software on it that can play 3D videos in the most common formats, and none that can handle a 3D Blu-Ray disk. The only 3D player I've ever found is ATK Player, and it only works with 3D videos in red-cyan, green-magenta or amber-blue mode, not teh formats current feature films use. It's possible that there would be a Windows player you could use and boot your Mac to Windows via Boot Camp, but I'm not certain.

You can get 3D Blu-ray players under $100, and the Windows players I can find cost that much or more, so just getting a 3D Blu-Ray player is probably your most time and cost-effective option.

Regards.
