random iCloud tunes
there are random tunes playing on my phone from iCloud that I had nothing to do with & that I hate, do I have to spend $25 for iTune Match to get rid of them? Seems like a scam.

Hello bogart47
That is not what iTunes Match is, it is a means to get all of your music in iTunes up in the cloud so you can have access to them across multiple devices. It would not remove items unless you delete them. Now if you have purchased music in the past from the iTunes Store, then those tracks will show up on your iPhone. If you go to Settings > Music and toggle off Show All Music that will only show items that were synced to your iPhone from iTunes. Also check to see what music you are listening to, for example are you listening to your library or are you listening to iTunes Radio.
Download purchased music to your iPhone.

this doesn't help. The tunes in question were probably downloaded by my daughter. I want to delete these tunes from my iPhone...they show up & play whether or not I toggle Show All Music. How do I eliminate them forever so I never have to see or hear them again?
Hey bogart47
Thanks for clarifying the issue, to delete a songs go to the Music app, locate the songs then swipe left to right over the song you want to delete. An option comes up that says delete and just tap Delete.

Hi. Thanks for the help but that doesn't do it. These songs have the iCloud icon in case that changes things, but they aren't on my iCloud account. When I swipe the tune on my phone it just starts the song playing.
Hello bogart47
Start with signing out of your Apple ID and then go to the Music app to see if it shows up. It shouldn’t after having disconnecting from your Apple ID in Settings > iTunes & App Stores. If the songs are there try the delete motion again to get rid of it or play another song that is downloaded to your iPhone. If all is good, then sign back in and make sure that you do not have Show All Music as well as making sure that the Automatic Downloads is toggled off as well.
iOS: Sign in with a different Apple ID in the iTunes Store, App Store, and iBooks Store
