Hi I want to back up my photos from my iPhone 5. How can I do this? I have an iPad mini but cannot sync to an iPhone as iPad does not have USB port. Can you help please

You have to back them up to a computer. You would import them either to iPhoto or to the Photos app in your PC:

No, as already stated, you can only backup to itunes or icloud.
Instead of thinking about backups, consider sharing the photos. Is that what you're trying to do --- share photos between an iPhone and an iPad?

I have tried to back up to iTunes but how can i as I can't sync the 2devises with cable so that won't work. Also it won't allow me to back up to iCloud from iphone as it says not enough storage available. I don't want to delete photos to reduce storage as the whole point is I want to keep all my photos?? Surely there must be a way I can save all my photos from my phone

Well you thru me off by saying you tried to backup to itunes which requires a computer.
You'll need to delete apps/mail/text message in order to back up to icloud, or buy more storage space. That is the only option you have, since you have no computer to backup to itunes or import your pics to a computer.

Get the Dropbox app, install on both devices, upload from phone to dropbox, then save from dropbox to iPad camera roll.
You only get, I belive 2 or 3GB's of storage for free, so you may have to do this in batches.
