Apr 12, 2014 1:42 PM in response to tamitismeby topinambour,I have had the same problem over the last week. It seemed as though I had repetitive wifi failures when on icloud mail page. Thought it was a wifi issue and contacted the cable company, but all Ok there apparently. Then noticed that all OK on wifi via Iphone at home, and also on mac via another browser. So not a wifi problem. So frustrating. In addition, at exactly the same time I have NO sound on my TV, the sound coming via a Minx Air speaker connected to wifi on mac. No idea where to start resolving this issue. Any help welcome.

Apr 12, 2014 3:55 PM in response to topinambourby behaviorman,Have you considered contacting a paranormal investigator...at any rate, if it is not wi fi problem then we can begin to boil it down to your computer...if you run a speakeasy speed test on your computer, is that normal? I would still suggest you try a different browser for you icloud mail...Safari works fine...Chrome did not. the issue of sound from Minx is separate issue...not sure I can help you there.

Apr 20, 2014 5:17 PM in response to tamitismeby JohnQCitizn,It appears that Steve Jobs' "holy war" against Google has been unleashed in the form of icloud mail no longer working with Google Chrome. I love the answers in here by the way: "Use Safari". That's great. If I wanted to use Safari I wouldn't have installed Chrome to begin with. I don't LIKE safari and it's LAME and so very Apple that their stuff doesn't play well with the other children.

Apr 20, 2014 6:02 PM in response to JohnQCitiznby behaviorman, frankly, I am seriously considering giving up on Icloud mail for similar reasons...additionally, I find that I constantly have to "re-sign" in, and sometimes it seems to take forever for the app to load...whereas gmail has been absolutely reliable. Of course then i am not too happy about the ads and some privacy invasion that come with it...I am not sure where all of this is going but I feel increasingly uneasy about the internet altogether. When Google Chrome came along, I happily abandoned Firefox, and historically never found Safari all that enticing.
Aside from the holy war theory re icloud not working with Chrome, I am getting a little impatient with the fact that Apple seems to be becoming larger and less responsive. This issue seems to have existed now for some time, a year or maybe more, and I have no idea if Apple even cares about it...no updates, no way of getting a note to the Empire...it occurred to me a few weeks ago that in less than a couple of decades our civilization has become almost totally dependent upon the internet...I sometimes wonder what would happen to us if suddenly it stopped working. Has anyone noticed that technology seems to solve one problem but then create others...space junk, nuclear waste, emissions, oil spills, on and on...sorry, starting to rant!! if you want icloud, you might be stuck with safari...package deal. and so just have icloud mail forwarded to some other deal like Zoho or gmail or ??? and dont use it at all.

Sep 19, 2014 10:55 PM in response to behaviormanby robgman54,I've tried it with Safari, Chrome, IE, and Firefox. The browser makes no difference. When typing emails it frequently freezes. It doesn't happen with the mail software program that is included with Macs but clearly, it has nothing to do with the browser. It's a systemic problem that Apple needs to address.
