Thunderbolt connector reliability solution!

I had a problem with the Thunderbolt cable not staying in place properly. As a result, the phone did not want to charge reliably, which was a real nusiance.

After talking to Apple support, and confirming that the phone was out of warranty, and that the problem was not one that was a frequent issue with users, I was referred to the Apple Store for a more thorough analysis.

Before making that trip, I decided to do some analysis on my own. Armed with a can of compressed air, I took direct aim at the recessed slot where the connector attaches to the phone. You would not believe the quantity of pocket lint that came flying out of the connector socket!!! And now the connector is fine and we're back in business!

A hint for those having this issue - canned air does a lot of good!
