Why is Itunes only importing a minute and a half of my songs?

For the last week or so everytime I try to import any music file or folder to my itunes, it only imports the first minute and a half of every song. Does anyone know why this is? I thought maybe if I updated my itunes or selected the files individually it would work but neither of those things helped at all.
