Help with iphoto dragged a picture to email now don't know how to get it back

Help Please!!! I was trying to drag a picture from Iphoto into an email, when I dragged it and placed it in the email it came up as this:

designfile://localhost/Volumes/My%20Passport%20for%20Mac%201/iPhoto%20Library/Ma sters/2014/04/09/20140409-153951/IMG_4617.JPG and then it removed it from Iphoto. I don;t have a back up of it and it was never saved in my iphoto as I just uploaded it.

HOw can I get it back

Please help

It was one of the only pics I had from my daughters 3rd bday party
