I really want to get an Apple TV; but I don't want to get and then a new version will come out. It happened to me with the mini iPad.

Personally i would spend the $99 & enjoy it until the new one comes out then move that one to another tv or sell it. Not like an ipad where you have a more substantial cash layout

No one here knows if/when a new ATV will be released.
