Where did Virtual Machine "store" the data on 10.3 iMac?

I have the hard drive (using NewerTech Universal Drive Adapter) and am trying to find the old publisher data files to run on another computer. I had transferred all my mac data back then, but cannot find where VM stored it. That iMac fell victim to the screen that started "erasing" itself with all those lines-one month after the recall ended. I could transfer files to the iBook, but I could never turn it back on to get to the Virtual Machine screen. I had Publisher on it and still want to get those pub files off if I could find where the data might have been store. I have looked and searched to no avail. Anyone know? I now have Mountain Lion iMac with Maverick (trying it out) on Parallels. 🙂
