Do books ever disappear during the review process?

I uploaded several books and when I went to Manage Your Books it gave me the usual red dot.

Then a couple days later the books I just uploaded were GONE. No red dots.... no orange dots.... no green dots..... and no notifications, emails, or tickets.... Does this ever happen during the review process? Thank you for your time!
