USB, Microphone, and Webcam No Longer Working on Display(s)

Hello everyone,

I just noticed that the USB, microphone, and webcam are no longer detected on ether of my 27" Thunderbold displays by my 2012 15" Retina Mac Book Pro.

I'm running OS X Mavericks.
I have all updates installed.
I have restarted my Mac Book.
I have reattached the thunderbolt cable to both ports.
Both displays display corectly.
Both displays are both detected as Thunderbolt Display (1) and (2).

Please if anyone has any sugestions on how to get this to work, I'm willing to try anything at this point, I need my webcam and mic for skype meetings here in the office.

try both PRAM and SMC resets

Nether seemed to have fixed the issue.

any recent changes to your macbook? also you have the thunderbolt display or the led cinema display? does your display have a USB cable to connect to the laptop?

Nope no major changes, I'm using both 27" Thunderbolt displays. I ended up unplugging both displays from the wall, and the MacBook, plugged them back in, and that seemed to have fixed the issue, crazy but it worked.

i would record videos if it happens again, so if you're under warranty, you'll be able to get it repaired
