How to motion mask without adjusting?

All the tutorials I have watched for motion masking have just said to adjust the points for the next frame, but for what I'm doing, the change is too dramatic in the next frame to just adjust it with the points I used in the last frame. Could anybody tell me how to create a new mask for each frame so it plays through smoothly?

hi

Not sure what you are asking for here. If as you seem to say the frames are wildly different then simply create a new mask for each frame. You can apply as many masks as you like to an object, and select the in and out points as required.

But you can move the points of a mask on a frame by frame basis and it will change smoothly.

Or do you want to track the points so they follow the picture automatically. In which case add a Track Points Behaviour to the mask. You can edit each point on a frame by frame basis if needed.
