My Mac book pro hangs up when opening web sites. My internet connection is good.

My iPad works fine and I have a PC that works fine, so don't think it is internet connection. I took it to Apple store and it worked fine.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

Hi Pat948,

I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact nature of the issue you're having. If you are having slow web page in Safari (but the sites do eventually load), you may be experiencing an issue with your DNS (Domain Name Server) settings. You may find the following articles helpful:

Apple Support: Non-responsive DNS server or invalid DNS configuration can cause long delay before webpages load

Safari 5.0.1 or later: Slow or partial webpage loading, or webpage cannot be found
