Categories gone from Numbers 3.2?

In Numbers 09 I could click on a column heading and see an option to categorize the data - in effect, insert sub-totals.

Is that function present in Numbers 3.2?

That's correct. If you need that feature, stay with Numbers 2.

Granted, it was a weakness of the old method that the summary data wasn't available for further calculations...

BUT, I'm really missing being able to summarize a year's worth of data by month with those sub-totals actually in-line with the data. Presently, the only way to show the data and the monthly totals is via separate tables - separating the summary totals from the actual data.

APPLE - PLEASE RETURN SUMMARY SUB-TOTALING FUNCTIONALITY TO NUMBERS ASAP!!!

Thanks
