That is because you are look at the CORPORATE resellers, IE for businesses!!!!!! They may supply Apple products and business support.
Check under Retail Resellers.
Als not all Best Buy stores sell all Apple products. Some do and some don't.
Hi, thanks so much, but that is NOT the corporate list. If you click the "corporate" heading in blue, it goes gray and gives you the corporate list.
This one is the retail list, which has amazon, abt and J&R. You'll see the other list doesn't have any of those.

Best Buy is absolutely an authorized Apple reseller. In fact they're in a special class of resellers called an "Apple Shop":
Apple Shops are Apple-designed outlets located within select Apple resellers and other retail stores. Many are staffed with Apple Solutions Consultants — trained Apple employees who can help you find the best solution.
Why they're not in the list of Catalog/Internet resellers I don't know, but they do sell Apple products via the Internet, something about which Apple is certainly aware of it and hence must approve.
