iphone 4 front flash not working

Was working perfectly on the camera app and other apps such as snapchat but then one day it suddenly became non existant !!! It gives me the option to take a photo using the flash on the back camera but as soon as I change it to front camera there's no option for flash !! So annoying, any help appreciated.
