ipod shuffle does not connect to itunes anymore

Hi

I am having trouble getting my Ipod Shuffle 4th Generation to show as a device in Itunes. I think this has been the case since I undertook recent upgrades. I have followed the trouble shooting assistant and have had no luck. Suggestions appreciated.

iPod shuffle (3rd generation), Windows XP

You don't specify which trouble shooting you have used, but have a read of this:

That's for iOS devices...

If the iPod is being recognized as a connected device by Windows, try the advice in this document
